Mizuho Corporate bank and Mott MacDonald to participate in an offshore wind investment and finance webinar in May

The two industry giants will join efforts with Sgurrenergy to provide exclusive analysis on first priority industry topics including risk mitigation, balance sheets and project finance. The webinar will take place on Thursday May 3rd 2012 coming as a response to the huge interest demonstrated by the industry for information on investment and finance over the past few weeks (as measured by Wind Energy Update's data analytics team).

Investment and finance have also been voted as industry most important topics in a specifically designed LinkedIn pool three weeks ago. The reason behind this is simple: with a price of approximately $232 per MW and a target of 18 GW to be installed by the UK alone by 2020 the offshore wind projects are still heavily dependent on governmental funds and private investments and the question of where is the money going to come from cannot be delayed any longer.

Free of charge and expected to attract over 1000 participants, this webinar is a 'must attend' by all professionals with interest in the field of risk mitigation and capital rising. The speakers have been carefully selected for their particular offshore wind related experience and knowledge. It will last an hour and simply requires a computer with internet connection.

Included in the event will be Q&A sessions, comments as well as interactive discussion between the speakers and audience. Registration is free and highly recommended for all professionals from the offshore wind industry with interest in securing capital for their current and future projects.
