Stella McCartney to go even greener?

Stella McCartney to go even greener?
Stella McCartney has launched a new fashion collection that combines organic materials with her signature style.

The new Stella McCartney collection for luxury department store Barney's in the US is completely organic and the designer now plans to establish it in Britain.

Debuting at Harvey Nichols and the flagship Stella McCartney store on Bruton Street in London, the Eco-Collection consists of 20 pieces, including coats, knits, suits and tunics, all in muted colours.

One of the most ethical names in fashion, Stella is a vegetarian and refuses to wear animal products such as fur or leather. Paul and Linda McCartney's daughter already uses wind energy to power her studio and has an e-commerce site in the US that delivers carbon neutral orders.

"I always wanted to go beyond the one store," she said. "Eco-friendly fashion is something I've always felt strongly about. You have to create a demand so the client base will grow."

A top fashion designer, Stella McCartney is one of the leading faces in ethical fashion and the new organic collection will further boost her green credentials.
