Variety of low carbon technologies needed, expert says
Lowering carbon emissions will take a variety of different technologies as there is no "magic bullet" to help to save the environment.

That's according to an energy and environment professor at King's College London who has warned that "there's lots of things we need to do and lots of technology that we need to mobilise in order to be successful in this decarbonisation".

Professor Paul Elkins was speaking at a recent Royal Society meeting entitled Towards a Low Carbon Energy Future.

He explained that the most "optimistic scenario" would be if some of this low carbon energy technology was "negative cost".

This is something the UK economy could potentially prosper from, he said, as "we would be getting energy service at less cost than we currently do".

Prof Elkins added that investment in the renewable energy sector was crucial if the UK was to reduce its carbon footprint.

A report published in November by the Confederation of British Industries says that developing and deploying low-carbon technologies is key to meeting the UK's long-term targets on climate change.

When are you people going to read my posts?
I have put many posts on this site but it appears no one wants to listen, or is it because of all the COAL EXPORTS AND JOBS THAT WILL BE LOST BECAUSE OF THIS TECHNOGY?
There would be no need of burying the 'carbon emissions' or any more nuclear power stations.
The process is going a bit slow due to my income and it only will need a few more 'aussie dollars' to start the tests, on the 'OZ Injector'.
