UK Top 100s for global climate movement
Media personalities and business leaders in the UK are being asked to show support for a worldwide environmental campaign.
The 'tck tck tck' movement is a global alliance of organisations demanding a fair and wide-reaching climate change agreement.
Cabinet ministers Lord Mandelson, Ed Miliband and Ben Bradshaw have written to business and media high-flyers as well as other MPs to get their backing for the initiative.
Ed Miliband, climate and energy secretary, said: "It's in everyone's interests to back a deal to help make Britain a centre for green and low carbon jobs and make our communities and homes greener."
Business secretary Lord Mandelson added: "Britain's world-class businesses are global leaders in low carbon manufacturing. The tck tck tck campaign is an excellent catalyst for galvanising support from the sector and leading the way towards a low carbon economy."
Organisations such as Marks & Spencer, Lloyds Banking Group and the Confederation of British Industry have all joined the tck tck tck campaign, which is being led by Kofi Annan.
