Low carbon awards to be hosted by Ellen MacArthur

Low carbon awards to be hosted by Ellen MacArthur
Dame Ellen MacArthur is set to host an awards ceremony which will honour projects, buildings and professionals that have worked towards reducing carbon their emissions.

The world famous yachtswoman will present ten awards at the Low Carbon Performance Awards 2008, which have been launched by the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE), in association with E.ON.

Designed to celebrate achievements of the 700 participants of the 100 Days of Carbon Clean up Campaign in delivering carbon savings in the building services sector, the event is also aimed at highlighting such successes to the general public.

Dame Ellen will present the awards as part of her role as campaign champion, which came as a result of her ongoing partnership with E.ON. She works with the firm to encourage their business partners to be more efficient.

The Low Carbon Performance Awards are due to place on February 6th, 2008 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.ADNFCR-1235-ID-18394797-ADNFCR
