Low-carbon eco-flats to be sold in Brighton

Low-carbon eco-flats to be sold in Brighton
Apartments at One Brighton, a low-carbon, environmentally-sustainable residential development in the south of England, will go on sale this weekend, it has emerged.

The eco-flats have been designed through a partnership between Crest Nicholson and BioRegional Quintain and consist of 172 units built with the One Planet Living environmentally sustainable concept in mind.

This concept includes a promise of zero carbon emissions and zero waste, in addition to sustainable transportation solutions for residents.

Each flat in the complex is powered by renewable energy from both onsite and external sources. Hot water and space heating will come from an onsite biomass boiler, while renewable electricity generated offsite will be supplemented by rooftop solar panels and small-scale wind turbines.

Residents will also be encouraged to save money and conserve energy by using long-life light bulbs and participate in the building's domestic recycling scheme, which includes a number of recycling bins and composters.ADNFCR-1235-ID-18474673-ADNFCR
