GreenFleet Awards 2009 for London
Next month will see a national energy efficient transport celebration take place in London.

The GreenFleet Awards 2009 will be held in the capital at Guild Hall on October 1st.

Achievements and improvements in low carbon fuel development and the creation of new environment-conscious cars will be marked at the ceremony.

Now in its 11th year, the event will be hosted by the City of London and include a champagne reception for attendees.

Tiff Needel, the TV motoring expert from Fifth Gear, will present the awards, while judges include representatives from WhatGreenCar?, GreenFleet magazine and the Institute of Car Fleet Management.

During the day, the G Factor conference will be held, where low carbon transport innovations will be presented and discussed.

Categories where prizes are up for grabs include City Car Manufacturer of the Year, Alternative Fuel Supplier of the Year, the Fleet Innovation Award and the Outstanding Achievement Award.
