Green Energy UK donates turbine to theatre
A children's theatre in London has benefited from Green Energy UK's donation of a wind turbine, it has emerged.

The Colour House Children's Theatre has installed a five-foot-high Quietrevolution model that is expected to generate enough power for the Grade II-listed building, according to ThisisLondon.

Quietrevolution turbines have S-shaped blades and run silently, which makes them ideal for urban neighbourhoods, Green Energy UK asserts.

Green Energy UK donated the turbine to the theatre and its spokesperson Doug Stewart says of this form of microgeneration: "They are the perfect response to the critics of wind turbines and are just what we need as we learn to lessen our dependence on fossil fuels."

Peter Wallder, the Colour House's director, expressed his gratitude to the firm and claimed that now the Quietrevolution turbine has been installed the theatre's electricity bills are "non-existent".

Elsewhere in the UK, Warrington has taken steps in the fight against climate change by launching a wind turbine at its Centre Park offices.
