Expert claims eco-improvements can save money and cut carbon emissions
Homeowners could save money on bills and cut their carbon footprint by making energy-saving improvements, an expert has suggested.

Nigel Berman, founder of Nigel's Eco Store, claimed that as energy saving and money-saving "kind of go hand-in-hand", there are a number of solutions to consider when it comes to eco-friendly home improvements.

He suggested that energy-saving lightbulbs may be a good option to consider as they cut electricity consumption and could save homeowners up to £40 over the life of the bulb.

"You can reduce your bills if you take energy saving measures," he stated, adding that reducing household energy consumption through practical measures is the best way to get started.

Mr Berman also emphasised the importance of purchasing good-quality products, as they are less likely to require frequent replacement - cutting down on both landfill use and overall costs.

According to Nigel's Eco Store, households in the UK have the potential to save nearly £400 each year by living an eco-friendly lifestyle.ADNFCR-1235-ID-18561072-ADNFCR
