Leading solar PV specialist The Green Electrician increases installation capacity from new offices

Logo
Solar PV specialist The Green Electrician has dramatically increased its installation capacity by expanding from four employees to 46 in just 16 months and moving into new offices and a warehouse in Wardle, Cheshire, supported by a fleet of vehicles and a specially designed training facility for new staff.

"This is a very exciting time for The Green Electrician and the solar industry in the UK," comments operations director, David Young OBE. "Since the launch of the Government's feed-in tariff incentive in April last year, we have seen installations in this region more than triple particularly in the agricultural sector. The cut in the FiT has temporarily halted our larger installations, but we are confident that with panel prices dropping, it wont be long until these systems over 50kWp are once again a good investment.

Our new offices and warehouse in Wardle, near Nantwich, will help us to continue to expand, with good access to all major routes. We are currently growing at a rate of one new job every week and are employing skilled solar pv installers, designers, electricians, roofers, surveyors as well as office staff."

Customers in the region include farmers, housing associations, private homeowners and businesses. The Green Electrician is one of the country's leading, most experienced solar PV specialists and has installed the largest ground mounted solar tracking system along with some of the largest roof mounted agricultural systems in the UK.
