The Fashion Factory was set up in October 2009 by Amanda Riley who has worked globally as a designer, worked in fashion predictions & also has taught at The London College of Fashion. Her aim is to educate 8-14 year olds about the Fashion Industry and how to 'upcycle' hand-picked items into the latest trends using simple pattern-cutting techniques. 'We should teach our kids to remake, recycle, revive rather than replace if we are to change the world we live in. They have fun and achieve something too, it's great for the self-esteem.' She teaches from her studio in Kensal Rise.
