The Renewable Heat Incentive Industry Advisory Group is an advisory body with the purpose of assisting Ofgem by reviewing selected procedures associated with the operation of the RHI to ensure that: they support industry good practice; do not create unnecessary burdens on the generators of renewable heat; and provide adequate safeguards for public funds. The remit of the working group is to provide independent expert advice on improvements and clarifications to the existing framework.
The Renewable Heat Incentive is an £860 million scheme designed to incentivise the uptake of renewable heat technologies through long-term financial support. Ofgem, through its E-Serve division administers the scheme, including monitoring and enforcing compliance.
