The next Stockport: Low Carbon Business Network, takes place on Tuesday 27th November at Houldsworth Mill Conference facilities. The event will allow for extensive networking with other businesses. In addition Matt Chassagne, Head of Business Development at ENER-G Combined Power will be chairing the event for the first time and introducing two topical and informative speakers:-

Michael Bakewell, The North West Fund
Michael Bakewell, Investment Manager for The North West Fund for Energy & Environmental, will talk through how growth-oriented local businesses in the Energy & Environmental sector can benefit from flexible equity packages from £50k to £2m.
The North West Fund for Energy & Environmental supports a diverse range of products, services and processes with the aim to provide superior performance at a lower cost whilst greatly reducing ecological impact. Funding can be used to support a diverse range of needs from start-up and early stage development through to expansion.

Darren Pegram, Stockport Council
Darren Pegram will outline Stockport Council’s low carbon goals, key local projects that are taking place and the opportunities that exist for low carbon suppliers in these areas.
As an organisation, Stockport Council is committed to protecting and enhancing the environment both locally and globally. Its Environmental Policy provides a framework for local action and Darren will provide an overview of a range of key projects including actions around estates, district energy schemes, and sustainable communities.
