Daikin Altherma Cascade Technology

Daikin’s advanced cascade technology achieves higher water temperatures efficiently without the need for auxiliary heat. System capacities are maintained even at extreme low temperatures.

What is a Cascade System?
Daikin’s advanced cascade technology extracts the heat from the air and increases its temperature through two refrigerant cycles - to achieve 80°C.

The outdoor unit initially extracts heat from the ambient air and raises the temperature via an R-410A refrigerant cycle, then transfers this heat to the indoor unit’s (up to 10) R-134a refrigerant cycle where the temperature is increased further and finally transferred to the internal water circuit. (Heating and hot water)
