Installer Live 2011

Start Date:16 Oct 11 End Date:19 Oct 11

InstallerLive is the national plumbing, heating and renewables show in Partnership with The National Skills Academy for Environmental Technologies.

Our Stand for this event is A-320

You will soon be transferring your skills from traditional boiler installation to renewable technologies. Your core skills provide the base, but to be part of the eco revolution you need to upskill to achieve the MCS qualification.

Once MCS accredited, those of you who are forward-thinking will know that you are able to maximise the opportunity provided by the Green Deal, Feed in Tariffs and the Renewable Heat Incentive.

You may feel that today is not the time for you to invest in your training and upskilling for this eco revolution and to become MCS qualified. You do, however need to start thinking about the business opportunities available to you in the near future. InstallerLive is still the show for you, as we hope to make the future of installing clearer.

Do you know the timeline of events for the eco revolution?

2011 Feed in Tariffs adjusted in favour of small scale microgeneration
Aug 2011 RHI Premium Payment introduced to be followed by a full scale domestic RHI
Nov 2011 DECC’s update on The Green Deal due
Late 2012 Green Deal due to go live – 15,000 houses a week to be retrofitted up to 2050

2016 No new mains gas to be installed in to new build

InstallerLive 2011 will deliver an educational programme of unprecedented quality, addressing the needs of domestic and commercial installers across the UK. Research has proven that the most pressing need is to get to grips with the low carbon agenda, renewable technologies and energy efficiency. In a recent piece of research commissioned by InstallerLive:

• 79% said that low carbon was an issue they needed to know more about in the next 12 months
• 72% saw low carbon as an opportunity for their business
• 83% said they knew that low carbon would require new skills, but many didn’t know where or how to get it

Through the demo stations, Eco Challenge and our exhibitors you will be sure to leave InstallerLive with the information on both the present and furture needs of installing.
