Introduction to the Passive House Standard – 50% funding now available
Start Date:15 Mar 12
Britain might be the furthest behind in passive house but we are one of the fastest catching up. This is the standard of the future.
The Scottish Passive House Centre has been very influential in the implementation and development of the passive house standard in the UK. So far we have been responsible for the certification of the first affordable passive housing scheme in Scotland (Tygh –Na-Cladach, Dunoon) and the first certified private Passive House in England (Underhill House Warwickshire) which featured on channel 4’s grand designs show in September.
The UK will need our trades men to possess specific skills & abilities in order to deliver energy efficient, passive house building to the rigorous standards required. The training provided by the Scottish Passive House Centre will provide an introduction to the passive house standard and these skills.
Come along to our seminar to find out more about the passive house concept, the myths surrounding passive house and our experiences in passive house so far in Scotland and the rest of the UK.
Certain SMEs may be eligible for 50% of the funding to be claimed through Skills Development Scotland’s Low Carbon Fund, for more information or if you would like to book onto this course please contact Dana McRorie.
