Nominations open for CSP Today US Awards



The 2nd edition of the CSP Today Awards USA 2011 will take place on Tuesday 28 June, as part of CSP Today USA 2011 conference, in its 5th edition this year.

The concentrated solar thermal industry has got a hard year ahead, proving the viability of the projects in the pipeline and getting more projects from the planning phase to break ground. However, the industry has much development to be celebrating, as the past few months have overcome some previously seemingly unbreakable barriers.

Do you know of a concentrated solar thermal power company that deserve special recognition for innovation or dispatchability? The CSP Today US Awards will give the opportunity to companies excelling in the industry to be recognized publicly for all your hard work and achievements.

The nominations of these awards are open to the public until 22 April when the judges will select from all the popularly entered companies 3 finalists and a winner per category. All participating companies must be working in the CSP industry in the US in order to be considered for the award.

The categories include:


• CSP commercialized technology innovation of the year
• Increased dispatchability solution of the year
• Newcomer of the year


• Best CSP integration of the year
• CSP technological supplier of the year
• CSP engineering firm of the year
• Most effective environmental stewardship of the year (land/water/wildlife resources conservation)
• EPC contractor of the year


• CSP special achievement award
• Lifetime achievement award

All the awards will be handed to the winners at the CSP Today Awards Ceremony, on 28 June from 7pm (before the start of the 2 days conference and expo CSP Today USA on 29 and 30 June)

CSP Today USA Award winners in 2010 include Solar Trust America, Siemens, Schott Solar, Stirling Energy Solution and SENER.
