powerPerfector to sponsor awards

The 2011 Edie Awards for Environmental Excellence will once again be sponsored by powerPerfector. The awards, now in their fifth year, will highlight the best achievements and innovation in sustainable business. They will also recognise the best consultants in the environmental sector.

Entries are now being accepted for the nine award categories which include renewable energy, carbon reduction and public sector initiative. Organisers say interest in this year’s awards has been higher than ever before.

Edie's editor, Alison Brown, said: "The Edie Awards provide an important opportunity to celebrate success and recognise leadership and innovation in the environmental field. They give companies the chance to showcase their examples of best practice and enterprise."

The awards night will take place at the internationally renowned Hurlingham Club, set in 42 acres of magnificent grounds next to the Thames River.

The deadline for entries is 4pm on Friday 28 April.
