Prince takes a shine to new solar panels
Polysolar, the award winning Cambridge based solar technology company launched its revolutionary new transparent solar PV panels at the START Garden Party, hosted by HRH The Prince of Wales in the grounds of Clarence House. Presented in the form of the worlds first electricity generating glasshouse, capable of generating a quarter of an average households electricity requirements, the exhibit caught the eye of the Prince himself , who has recently applied for planning permission to put solar panels on Clarence House in London.
Hamish Watson, the CEO of Polysolar, explained that the glasshouse attracted significant interest, as not only were the new PV panels seen as an attractive alternative to traditional panels, but their superior performance in low light conditions means that they are suitable for a wide range of applications and situations, not just south facing roofs."
Polysolar's low cost, high performance modules are available for immediate delivery and can be built into most applications.
