Club announces shirt sponsorship deal with PREL
Peterborough Renewable Energy Ltd (PREL) is proud to announce that they will be the new shirt sponsors of the Peterborough United, "The Posh". The company's Energypark logo will be emblazoned across the front of all three kits. The press release from Peterborough United is below.
Peterborough United would like to announce that following progressive negotiations a new shirt sponsorship deal has been agreed with Peterborough Renewable Energy Limited (PREL).
Chief executive Bob Symns said, "This is an excellent partnership for both the football club and our new partners PREL and is the result of many months of protracted discussions and meetings by our commercial department. PREL will have a massive impact on the future of our city and its Energypark will be at the centre of sustaining and improving our environment."
The initial term of the six figure agreement is for two years and the Energypark logo will be emblazoned across the front of all three kits.
Chris Williams, managing director, commented: "Peterborough United is our home team and we are very passionate about the city and the football club. PREL have been around the city for about 10 years and we are developing the renewable energy centre and the recycling plant just over the river. We get involved in the community and as a Peterborough-based company, we are very keen to support our local club and we are delighted to be backing Peterborough United. We have a number of Posh fans within the company and our contracting team who are based in Malaysia are extremely enthusiastic about football.
"It is going to be pretty special to see our logo on the front of the Peterborough United shirts. It is not normal for a company in the early years to be doing this kind of sponsorship, but for us it makes tremendous sense and we will be very proud to see the team run out of the tunnel with our logo on the front."
