Communications officer, NNFCC

Salary: £22,000 (pro rata; around 20 hours per week)

Job specification
Reporting to the head of biorefining, this role will see you interface with prospective clients on a daily basis and you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the company`s marketing strategies and communications channels.

You will need to be dynamic, versatile, fast learner, results orientated and capable of working both in a team and independently with minimal supervision.

You will take a leading role in NNFCC's marketing activities, overseeing all PR-related activities including responding to press enquiries, writing press releases, developing media contacts, leading online media campaigns, managing the corporate website and utilising social media.

The applicant is required to have a good honours degree in science and have excellent technical copywriting skills. An understanding of Adobe design software and SEO strategy would be beneficial.

We believe bio-based technologies are a key component of the low carbon economy, creating sustainable business opportunities for feedstock suppliers, technology and project developers, manufacturers and investors.

We offer global companies consultancy services and act as an advisor to UK Government, providing technical, market and policy expertise on the conversion of biomass and waste to bioenergy, biofuels and bio-based products.

Conditions: 12 month contract, with potential for extension
Start date: Immediate
