Environment Agency Annual Conference

Start Date:24 Nov 10

This year's annual conference will focus on the state of our environment and the priorities of our government, from water to waste, farming to flooding. And experts from the UK and abroad will assess how we can best mitigate or adapt to our changing climate.

This conference will address:
: using our knowledge and evidence to highlight the key challenges around water, waste, flood, pollution, biodiversity
: tackling the major causes of emissions, particularly energy generation and use. This session will include discussion on issues such as energy efficiency, CRC, renewable energy, nuclear, coal and gas and carbon trading
: the next decade will require the government and others to make decisions on major projects that will have huge significance for energy, waste, flood and local communities. This session offers an opportunity to examine how the Environment Agency and others should achieve the difficult balance of supporting development, while protecting local communities and environment

Whether it is an insight into environmental regulation, policy shifts or what works in practice, this event is a must for all those who aspire to lead the way on environmental performance.
