VPhase voltage optimisation device

The VPhase unit is a voltage optimisation device designed for use in homes and small businesses. The unique VPhase product optimises the incoming voltage to a constant 220V giving householders immediate and significant energy savings for the whole home with a single VPhase product fitted to the consumer unit (fuse box). Voltage optimisation is not a new technology it has been widely used within industry for years, making huge savings on electricity bills.

All electrical devices and appliances have to work across the EU range of voltage (207V to 253V) however many appliances will actually work more efficiently at the lower 220V that the VPhase typically maintains, meaning greater efficiencies and potentially prolonging the life of your electrical equipment.

• Save around 10% on your electricity bills
• 5 year warranty
• No change in lifestyle required
• Maintenance free for 25+ year life
• Easily installed by a qualified electrician
• Reduce your carbon footprint

Based on tests, on appliances such as fridges and freezers a VPhase unit can deliver a massive saving of around 17%. VPhase also delivers savings on lighting, washing machines, tumble driers, dishwashers, televisions and a whole range of other electrical appliances.

What savings can I make?
Fitting a VPhase unit should improve the overall energy efficiency of your home. Voltage optimisation will work throughout the day to lower and regulate the voltage coming in to your house, resulting in reduced energy consumption, fewer carbon emissions and lower electricity bills.

Trials have demonstrated savings of around 10% on electricity bills can be achieved. Typical savings include:

• 17% on fridges and freezers
• 15% on lighting
• 10% on new energy saving light bulbs
• 30% on cordless phones
• 13% on hi-fis

Actual results may vary depending on type of appliance and incoming voltage.

What size is the VPhase unit?
The unit is about the same size as your existing fuse box and weighs around 4.3kg. Dimensions of the unit are: 345mm(L) X 180mm(W) X 115mm(D).

How will it be installed?
The VPhase unit must be fitted by a qualified electrician. It is installed alongside the consumer unit (fuse box) and will regulate voltage to the circuits where energy savings can be made. No on-going monitoring is required to ensure optimum benefits from VPhase. Please check the compatibility of your fuse box with your local qualified electrician.

Has the VPhase unit been field trialled?
VPhase has undertaken trials with Scottish and Southern Energy, British Gas and Great Places Housing Group. National framework agreements are in the process of being negotiated and distribution agreements have already been established with electrical contractors, distributors and wholesalers throughout the UK. There is an ongoing trial which has been approved by OFGEM for the Government's CERT (the carbon emissions reduction target) scheme that will determine the lifetime carbon dioxide savings of VPhase and its overall contribution to meeting carbon dioxide reduction targets.
