Why exhibit at shows?
Many internet based companies like ours rely on the web to do the selling and rarely have the chance to talk to real consumers, spending time at shows and exhibitions can highlight areas of information that are missing from the website, SEO descriptions and social networking may need working on as time and technology move forward. Remember it can take up to 11 separate contacts before securing an order so this personal touch can create a great impression if handled correctly.
Some of us like to get away from our desks and “man the stand” at a show, it’s a great chance to meet potential customers, let them see, touch and experience the products and good for us to get feedback too.
Our objective is simply to raise awareness of the product, we know that domestic infrared heating has been widely used in Europe for more than ten years but here in the UK consumers are much more reluctant to spend money on energy saving products and would rather stick to what they have used before. Exhibitions give us the chance to provide information and display the product for potential customers to handle and experience for themselves the feeling of infrared warmth.
When meeting customers face to face we can also provide personalised facts and figures, highlighting the benefits to the individual rather than simply generalising. First impressions really do count and we wish to build on our reputation for good customer service.
This year we have decided to exhibit at very specific shows that meet our target audience criteria rather than attend some of the very large well publicised shows with a range of visitors.
March 14th Phil Large will be demonstrating infrared heating panels at the City Electrical Factors showroom in Aston, Birmingham.
April 13 – 15th is The Home Show South West at Westpoint, Exeter. A show all about new technology, energy saving products and innovation
September 28th – 30th The National Home Improvement Show, Olympia, London.
