New homeowner quick start guide for Ecodan systems

Mitsubishi Electric is including a new quick start homeowners guide with the installation of every Ecodan® air source heat pump to ensure that new owners can quickly personalise their heating system to suit their own individual heating needs.

The booklet highlights how to get the best operating conditions out of their new Ecodan to ensure that households maximise both comfort and energy savings. It explains the individual components involved in the system and highlights how to operate it effectively and efficiently to save energy and lower bills.

"We know that heat pumps are still new to many households and this guide is designed to help them understand how to get the greatest efficiency from their system," explains Max Halliwell, business development manager for the company's domestic heating department.

The guide highlights the simplified control system that Mitsubishi Electric has recently launched for the Ecodan range and explains how to customise the settings. This includes details on the general operation and how to change the schedule, either for normal weekly operation, for holidays or if the weather changes suddenly.

"We know Ecodan can provide all the heating and hot water a modern home needs all year round," says Halliwell. "However, homeowners need to understand the subtle differences in running an air source heat pump system compared to traditional fossil-fuel heating, so we want to make things as easy as possible, to ensure households get the maximum benefits from adopting renewable heating."
