MHS Boilers launches network heating
Nexus is a heat interface unit which allows metered services to be installed in multi-dwelling developments like apartment blocks, sheltered housing or community heating schemes.
The new comprehensive Nexus range comprises built-into-the-wall or wall hanging units, which can be either direct or indirect types for central heating. Both the direct and indirect units can be supplied with or without heat or water metering. Additionally, where Nexus is being used in a development where cooling is being provided from a central source, chilled water metering is also available.
To make selection of the correct units simple, they are divided into the follow categories:
Nexus Diatech units are built into the wall and are useful where the dwellings do not have a dedicated cupboard or enclosure for the siting of the heat interface unit.
Nexus Futura Units are fully cased wall-mounted types with lockable doors or access panels.
Nexus LF versions are available in both Diatech and Futura and are specifically designed to operate with lower central system flow and return temperatures when using energy efficient condensing boilers as the community heat source.
Nexus Bitherm types are indirect heating versions and includes a heat exchanger for complete hydraulic separation of the dwelling's central heating circuit from the community system.
Conter Zone distribution units
Conter Zone distribution Units are built-into-the-wall type units which can distribute and meter the supply of any or all of the following services: central generated heating, centrally generated hot water, cold water or chilled water.
In addition to the standard models in its Nexus range, MHS Boilers can also produce bespoke units to meet specific requirements, such as larger capacities or the inclusion of underfloor heating coil manifolds. The meters included in the units as standard are CE marked turbine-type class C, with liquid crystal display and long life battery. On request these can be upgraded with a data transmission cable for centralised consumption data reading. The water meters included as standard are CE marked turbine volume flow meters and can also be read remotely if required.
Naturally, with its extensive range of commercial and light commercial boilers MHS can also provide the central boiler plant. Gas condensing boilers are available from 45kW to 1.1MW which can be used singly or in cascade multiple arrangements, plus forced draught boilers up to 3.6MW.
