Swain Group chooses GreenUrban Technologies
Cumbria, 10 November 2011 - Swain Group, the transportation, warehousing and distribution specialists have chosen GreenUrban Technologies to retrofit over 100 of their UK truck fleet for the next phase of the London Low Emission Zone.
Bob Swain, Group Managing Director, said: “Four generations of Swains have adapted to changes in the transport industry. It’s important we stay ahead of the game, and GreenUrban’s retrofit technology will ensure just that.”
GreenUrban’s EcoTrap reduces particulate output from diesel engine vehicles by over 95%. It has been designed and developed with fleet owner’s business needs in mind, with simple installation and in-cab monitoring.
Come January 2012, Swain Group’s fleet will be able to enter London’s Low Emissions Zone (LEZ) without paying new heavy fines.
“It’s vital that our drivers can enter London without being charged. By preparing for the changes now we can begin the New Year ready for business,” added Bob. “We chose GreenUrban for their competitive pricing, fast installation, and product expertise.”
Transport for London (TfL) is forecasting that over 20,000 vehicles still need to be equipped before the end of December 2011.
To guarantee cost-savings and encourage road users to prepare for January’s LEZ extension, GreenUrban is currently offering to beat any offer by £65 per unit.
