Wind Farm Data Management & Analysis

Start Date:15 Nov 11 End Date:16 Nov 11

Estimates suggest that the cost of repairs and maintenance for turbines will exceed 25% of total O&M costs over a 20 year operational period. With O&M decision-making becoming more focused on performance and condition monitoring, it has never been more important to capitalise on the full potential of turbine data in order to ensure costs are kept to a minimum and to increase profitability.

New improvements in technology can now enable the collection of a greater volume of turbine data. With more data to manipulate from systems such as SCADA and CMS, useful management and interpretation of wind turbine has in turn become more complex. Join industry experts to examine the key challenges concerning data management, analysis and interpretation.

Key areas to be covered include:
• Volume: How can you gain more value from your data? What data do you really need?
• Quality and reliability: How can you ensure your data is of consistent quality? How can gaps in datasets be reduced?
• Storage: How and which data should be stored? What is the best way to design and structure your databases?
• Analysis: Which analysis methods achieve the most meaningful results? Which factors should power curves be based on?
• Failure and root cause detection: How can failures be detected faster? What analysis should be used to determine the root cause of failure and when should they be carried out?
• Software tools and technology: What new tools are available for data analysis & interpretation and which are the best?
• Reacting to data: What are the best practices for deciding when to react to the outputs of data analysis? How can you use data analysis for O&M planning?

Wind Farm Data Management & Analysis will take place in Hamburg. For more details please send an enquiry.
