Future Offshore Wind Foundations

Start Date:08 Nov 11 End Date:10 Nov 11

Foundations for offshore wind assets are an essential part of every project but as we go into deeper waters monopiles won’t be viable structures.

With the cost of foundations amounting to around 20% of CAPEX in 2011 according to RenewableUK it is essential that you understand your choices and have all the material necessary to make the best decisions for future sites.

Join colleagues from across the wind and marine sectors to debate the strategies that will ensure offshore development success at Windpower Monthly's Future Offshore Wind Foundations Forum:

• Which innovative foundations will go the distance and the depth? Are jackets really the way forward?
• What are the designs, availability and potential set backs of future foundation installation vessels?
• How must the industry gear-up for the industrialisation of foundation production to reduce costs?
• Is noise from piling a serious, long-term issue? What solutions have been found to mitigate the environmental effect of foundation installation?

Future Offshore Wind Foundations takes place in Bremen. If you would like further details about the event, please send an enquiry.
