Greenbuild Expo 2011

Greenbuild Expo 2011 takes place on 29 and 30 June at Manchester Central, 09:30–16:00 both days. It is FREE to attend.

Visitor feedback from the 2010 event has been enormously positive, praising the extent of the solutions on show, the quality of the seminar programme and the relevant practical advice available from exhibitors.

Greenbuild Expo 2011 will be bigger and have even more to offer. With an extensive conference programme, with more than 100 to choose from, all FREE, it will provide comprehensive coverage for all sectors of the built environment. The programme will include a focus on sustainable refurbishment, as well as looking at topics such as the Code for Sustainable Homes and renewable energy.

The 2011 event will also have a training theme, with sessions tailor-made for visitors to gain real insight into a variety of topics.

These training sessions will be designed so everyone from installers to planners and include:

• MCS installer taster sessions for PV, solar thermal heat pumps and biomass
• Energy management taster sessions for facilities and buildings managers, public sector
• Passivehaus design taster for public sector, developers, architects and consultants
• Sustainability courses for all

These taster sessions will enable you to find out more about the most appropriate courses for you. All training providers will be offering full course discounts and incentives for all delegates attending these sessions, so there is an additional incentive to attend.

Other highlights include our Building Retrofit Zone where multi-site and large building owners can see what they can do to their buildings to reduce carbon emmissions, utility bills and do well from the government's Carbon Reduction Commitment scheme. We're also co-hosting the UK's only wood fuel event Ignition 11 this year, a market set to benefit from the Renewable Heat Incentive. A visit to this part of the show will ensure you are aware of the latest developments in technology and legislation relating to this growing industry.
