The organisation
The Green Recruitment Company's client utilizes decades of experience to develop, construct and operate large-scale wind farms. The client has played major roles in UK rounds 1, 2 and 3 and is growing their business both in the UK and other markets. Their capability covers all stage of a wind farm’s development and all elements from turbines through to the grid. They are currently approaching the 6GW landmark.

The responsibilities of the role:
The successful candidate chosen to take on this offshore wind engineer position will be given the opportunity to work on a number of energy projects in a variety of different capacities spanning conceptual design through to service maintenance and the candidate will be required to work in across a number of departments contained within the engineering team.

The applicant will also be entrusted to help expand the offshore development team and will offer expertise in the recruitment of new staff as well as working in an engineering capability for onshore products and documenting applicable legislative changes in line with our clients operational procedures and legal requirements.

Other duties will include:
• Building and managing new safety protocol across all rotational equipment and staff associated.
• Providing In-house technical support where required.

Experience and skills
To be considered to fill the offshore wind engineer position the applicant must be able to demonstrate a grounded level of experience working in a related engineering field and have the formal qualifications to a higher degree level.

As well as this the candidate must:
• Have the ability to work independently and problem solve accordingly
• Be mindful of the team framework but remain responsible for own operations, deadlines and targets.
• Hold a UK driving licence.
• If the candidate has an understanding of design orientated engineering, marine operations and/ or has experience within the construction on coastal or offshore structures, this will be considered a plus, however not essential.
