Wind Power Mexico 2012—Mexico Senate approves historic climate change bill

What are the real implications for the future of wind energy, post Calderon, within Mexico? When the bill becomes law it will become 'the third major climate change act after legislation adopted in recent years by the UK, Australia and New Zealand. It will also further entrench Mexico's position as one of the world's leading emerging low-carbon economies.' (Business Green)

An important moment for Mexico's energy future but by no means a free pass for the wind industry. Attend Wind Power Mexico 2012 to learn more about what the bill will mean for your company, and quiz the Energy Minister Jordy Herrera on the details that apply to you.

Wind Power Mexico 2012 expert keynote speakers include:
Mario Molina, Nobel Prize winner and environmental spokesman
Jordy Herrera, Minister of Energy, Mexico
Dan E. Arvizu, director, U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory
Maurizio Bezzeccheri, head of Iberia and Latin America, Enel Green Power

Plus hear from national and regional government:
• Christian Koegl, executive vice-president for the energy sector, Siemens Mesoamerica
• Francisco Acosta Arredondo, chief modernization officer, CFE
• Alejandro Pereza Garcia, director general of electricity and renewable energy, CRE
• Alejandro Velasco, director of renewable energy, Oaxaca
• Arnoldo Rodríguez Reyes, municipal president, Zacatecas
• Víctor Mendoza Salcedo, president, regional section, Chihuahua
• Joaquín Gutiérrez Ley, technical director, Baja California Energy Commission
• Luis Arias, chief executive officer of generation, transmission and transformation of electrical energy, Secretaria de Energy

Wind Power Mexico will, for the first time, be part of the Mexican International Renewable Energy Congress, providing you with the unique opportunity to learn from and do business with wind, solar and geothermal leaders as well as your own peers.
