Wind Power Turkey

Start Date:20 Sep 11 End Date:21 Sep 11

According to Christian Kjaer, chief executive officer of EWEA, "Turkey could be among the top three producers of wind energy" and "has a predictable and attractive market for wind energy investors". Wind Power Turkey, the premier Turkish wind energy event and the third annual congress of the Turkish Wind Energy Association, produced with the government support of the Turkish Prime Ministry, EUAS, TEIAS, EIE and TETAS, has become the official meeting place for Turkish and international wind industry leaders who recognise the potential growth and opportunity for the wind power industry in Turkey.

Held as part of the Turkish International Renewable Energy Congress (TIREC), the 2010 event welcomed 500 representatives from the renewable energy, finance and regulatory sectors. With the passing of the amendments to the Renewable Energy Law in December, key developments in wind licensing and grid access tenders and the government’s push for local manufacturing, EMRA chief Hasan Koktas believes 2011 will be the year of 'mobilization' for the private sector's wind energy investments.

What's new for 2011?
• Government and industry perspectives on the renewable energy law and feed-in tariff: does the current FiT pave the wave forward for increased wind power investments and wind project development?
• Exclusive updates on the details of the new licensing process for wind power projects and grid access tenders as they look set to be finalised.
• New focus session on local manufacturing: will the new law stimulate local manufacturing? What exactly constitutes local content? Which industries are likely to move in to the wind sector? Will Turkey become a hub for equipment manufacturers for North Africa, Balkans, Middle East, Russia and the CIS?
• Even more practical case studies and latest expert insight from leading wind developers and key utilities.
• Government and industry perspectives on the renewable energy law and feed-in tariff: does the current FiT pave the wave forward for increased wind power investments and wind project development?

This is the essential event for anyone looking to succeed in the future wind power market in Turkey, and it is help in Istanbul. For more details, please send an enquiry.
