With a view to moving forward renewable energy action plans and the development of the region’s solar power industry, the Arab Renewable Energy Commission is proud to announce the Solar Levant & GCC Congress in partnership with Green Power Conferences & the Jordanian Renewable Energy Society.

Held as part of the Arab Renewable Energy Congress & Exhibition, under the auspices of HRH Prince Assem bin Nayef and attended by ministers and governmental representatives from across the region, Solar Levant & GCC will serve as a business to business forum to connect those wishing to play a role in the region’s burgeoning solar market.

Highlights of the official solar congress of the Arab Renewable Energy Commission:

•High ministerial attendance from across Jordan and the Arab region: clarify and influence policy developments
•Update from Saudi Electric Company on how Saudi’s IPP model can be adapted for the Kingdom’s first solar tender
•Ghaleb Maabreh, NEPCO’s Managing Director presents the Jordanian utility’s vision on integrating solar in to the grid

•Solar pioneers discuss the region’s first case studies: what challenges have been met with project development and how has the technology fared?
•Country by country focus across the GCC: local stakeholders give an insiders view on the opportunities and challenges in different markets
•Diverse investor panel discussing the appetite for and mechanisms required to fund the development of solar projects in the Arab region
•Interactive debate on how to establish a sustainable solar industry and supply chain across the Levant & GCC
