eSight Energy expands and appoints new managing director
Cambridge-based energy management firm eSight Energy Ltd. has appointed Steve Norman to the position of managing director.
During his previous role as technical director at eSight Energy, Steve managed the development
of the eSight® product range. A management and software professional, Steve graduated in 1996 with an honours degree in computer science and has worked in a number of roles in the software industry over the past 14 years. Steve joined eSight Energy as senior analyst programmer in 2005.
Commenting on his promotion, Steve said: "I'm delighted to have taken up the role of managing director. Over the past years, eSight Energy has grown dramatically, and it's been a genuinely exciting time for the business and the industry as a whole. We've come a long way, but our plans for the future are equally challenging and we're very optimistic about eSight Energy's future in global energy
Steve's promotion comes as eSight Energy's previous managing director, Simon Durrant, takes on a new strategic post within the eSight Energy Group as chief executive officer.
Further promotions have also taken place within the eSight Energy Group as it continues to expand rapidly across the UK, US and Europe. Lisa Sullivan has been appointed sales director and Chris Culshaw as operations director for eSight Energy Ltd. Janie JefferiesFreer has been appointed president for eSight Energy Inc. based in Chicago, IL.
Simon Durrant commented, "These promotions will ensure that eSight Energy has the right structure to manage the continued growth of the group going forward. With strong demand for our products and services in both the European and US markets, we have strengthened the management teams of both organisations."
