Australian engineering call for papers


Engineers Australia, Malaysia Chapter and Swinburne University of Technology, Sarawak Campus will be organising the 2nd ASEAN Australian Engineering Congress 2011 in Kuching, Sarawak. The event, also refered to as AAEC 2011, will be held from 25th to 27th July 2011 at the Riverside Majestic Hotel.

Engineers play a very important role as professionals, community and business leaders in the 21st century. With the theme , the congress aims to foster excellence in sustainable engineering practice. It will offer excellent opportunities to review knowledge, disseminate information, promote awareness, facilitate collaboration, and make recommendations in preserving the fragile environment besides contributing to sustainable infrastructures for the advancement of the country’s economic growth.

The congress is now calling for abstract submission on a range of topics including planning and policy; climate change; sustainable buildings and infrastructures; green technology; sustainable waste and water management; and community and the environment. The congress will cover keynote presentations, parallel presentations (topic based), poster presentations as well as an exhibition, designed especially for international and local companies and organizations to showcase their products, services, new innovations and green trends that will potentially transform the engineering field.
