ENER-G supports EEF in its search for 2012 manufacturing stars
The search is on to find the UK's best manufacturers. Businesses of all sizes and talented apprentices are invited to show how they've made it by entering the EEF Future Manufacturing Awards (www.eef.org.uk/awards).
ENER-G is supporting EEF in its quest to find the UK's top environmental performers.
The EEF awards are free to enter and provide many opportunities to win across ten categories, including two environmental awards sponsored by ENER-G. With regional and national award ceremonies, companies have two chances of winning - gaining high profile publicity for their business, as well as the accolade of winning a prestigious industry award.
The regional and national awards recognise outstanding business performance in business growth; skills and people management; innovation; environmental achievement and export. They also celebrate the achievements of apprentices and young engineering students – saluting those young people who are the rising stars of UK manufacturing.
EEF Chief Executive Terry Scuoler said: “UK manufacturers achieve greatness, yet rarely step into the limelight. Our awards, now in the fourth year, celebrate the outstanding achievements of our diverse manufacturing sector and the talented young apprentices who are shaping the future. The awards underline the dynamic manufacturing industry that we can all be proud of, which is steering economic recovery."
The judges are seeking examples of inspiration, passion, creativity, ingenuity, and sheer hard work. Chair of Judges Professor Steve Evans of the Institute for Manufacturing, University of Cambridge, said: "The EEF Awards expose the outstanding business performance and drive behind our industry, and it’s these success stories that demonstrate the important role of manufacturing in a balanced economy. We encourage businesses to share their experiences and wisdom with EEF by entering the awards in 2012."
Cedric Rodrigues, Divisional Managing Director for ENER-G, said: "Once again we are delighted to support the EEF Future Manufacturing Awards and to sponsor the environmental categories. The search is on to find the UK's greenest businesses and we urge manufacturers to step forward and demonstrate their achievements by entering the awards."
The EEF Future Manufacturing Awards will be judged in five UK regions across the UK. Regional winners will be announced in November at celebration events, sponsored by Santander Corporate Banking. The regional winners will then compete for the national awards at a prestigious ceremony in London in January 2013.
The Awards are free to enter and are open now to all UK manufacturers, with a closing date of July 20th 2012 For more information, visit http://www.eef.org.uk/awards
