Powerstar hosts successful seminar in the North West



Companies in the the North West were able to find out how voltage optimisation can help them cut their energy costs and reduce their carbon footprint at a free training seminar held in Warrington by the market leader in voltage optimisation EMSc (UK) Ltd, manufacturers of the Powerstar voltage optimisation system.

Throughout the UK companies are increasingly turning to voltage optimisation to reduce their energy consumption and lower their carbon emissions to achieve sustainability strategy targets.
Voltage optimisation is a simple cost efficient way to control a building’s incoming voltage in order to maximise energy savings.

The North West seminar, which was held in partnership with the Energy Institute, was presented by Powerstar sales engineer for the North West Ray Booth and EMSc (UK) Ltd UK sales manager Peter Newell.

Mark Hobbins, a registered energy engineer with Energy Institute, as well as a Low Carbon Consultant with CIBSE, was the guest speaker at the event, covering topics about energy and environmental projects in business and industry, including legislation, controls, metering and lighting.

Peter Newell commented, "Companies are under increasing pressure to spend less whilst at the same time putting in place measures to operate in a more environmentally friendly way. The seminars will provide companies with the opportunity to learn more about how voltage optimisation can help reduce their carbon emissions and save money. More and more companies are embracing voltage optimisation technology."

Powerstar is the most efficient voltage optimisation system available and can save up to 26.1% of total electricity consumption as well related CO2 emissions, all without compromising the supply to electrical equipment.

The seminar will provide an overview of energy management issues affecting businesses and an introduction to reliable solutions, in particular voltage optimisation. Keynote speaker will discuss the A-Z of energy management. The discussion will look at the impact of government legislation on businesses with latest news articles and case studies used to highlight examples of best practice.

Mick Meakin, Powerstar sales engineering for the Midlands will discuss the technology of voltage optimisation, in particular Powerstar, the market
leading, UK manufactured voltage optimisation system.
