EMSc tee off corporate golf day
EMSc (UK) Limited held its inaugural golf day on 1st June 2011, to tee-off what is set to be another successful 12 months for the Rotherham based company.
A total of 40 players, consisting of company representatives, business partners and clients played the 18 hole course at Abbeydale Golf Club, Sheffield's premier golf venue.
Individual and team competitions were contested on the day, along with prizes for nearest the pin and longest drive, ensuring that the event, which catered for golfers of all skill levels, was both competitive and fun.
The winning team made up of Honeywell duo Phil Vause and Brian Capindale along with David Haycock from SIG Ltd and Steve Garner from Ad Magnetics, bagged trophies and £200 of golf vouchers at the post-round presentation ceremony, with a stableford rules team score of 85.
The winning prize of a trophy and golf bag went to Bob Paton of Birmingham Stoppers, while John Crossan from Danwood, picked up a trophy for the individual runner-up prize.
The event's success, highlighted by the large number of attendees, also highlights the growing level of interest in EMSc's products, which include Powerstar, the market leading voltage optimisation system, as it continues to develop a reputation for delivering tailored bespoke energy and CO2 saving solutions.
Dr Alex Mardapittas, managing director EMSc commented, "Colleagues and friends that attended our inaugural golf day helped create an atmosphere of camaraderie and friendly competition. We all enjoyed celebrating the many triumphs and humorous moments from the day."
