Our client is part of a larger international group, a multi-disciplined provider of environmental and sustainable energy solutions, offering reliable engineered solutions throughout the UK market. Founded in 1989 and is headquartered in, it currently employs approximately 150 people, with 6 regional offices throughout the UK.
They have established a strong position in the market offering turnkey anaerobic digestion project delivery. The company offers a range of technology solutions and can call upon a wide variety of operational project references. With AD plant designs that are able to digest most organic materials including food waste, plus industrial and agricultural feedstocks, they currently have projects under way and a strong order pipeline.
The project manager will have a key role in the companies developing business in the renewable sector. The person will have responsibility for managing individual projects from client order through to completion, liaising with client and supplier parties, budget control, planning and programming, operating quality and safety plan, appointing and managing sub-contractors, and generally representing the company.
• Commercial and contractual management of the project
• Budget and control of project related expenditure
• Manage all health and safety/CDM matters related to the project
• Input with our sales and commercial teams with estimating and tender assistance
• Contribute regarding design matters, both with our in house design team, and in collaboration with our technology partners
• Travel to sites throughout the UK
Salary and package
This is an excellent opportunity to join the progressive group, offering an attractive package with excellent long-term prospects to a suitable candidate. Remuneration and package will be dependent upon experience and qualifications.
The candidate will have a proven project management background in either the waste water treatment sector; the energy industry with knowledge of anaerobic digestion/biogas; or process-led waste infrastructure schemes. Ideally the candidate will have all round experience with combination of some site management experience, be commercially aware and competent with model forms of contract, and have knowledge of process equipment and design principles.
Ideally the successful candidate will be degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline.
