Ventilation contributes to Energy Focus at Dublin Show
Ventilation specialists Fantech have reported an excellent response to their focus on energy saving developments at the Energy Show in Dublin, reporting high levels of interest from visitors, as well as receiving a commendation for the Quietflow SQS DCV fan in the Product of the Show Award.
The exhibition, organised by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland, took place from 10 to 11 April in Dublin. Following so soon after the 1 January introduction of the new ErP Directive regarding fan efficiency, it provided an ideal opportunity for the Dublin-based company to highlight the importance of ventilation in contributing to increasingly energy efficient buildings.
Fantech offer a wide range of fans, ventilation products and accessories and have published new literature to illustrate how these can be used in various applications. From air handling and heat recovery units - including bespoke units to meet specific requirements - through to grilles and diffusers, air volume control dampers and ducting, Fantech has the products and the expertise to optimise air movement performance.
Business development manager Mark Russell comments – "The exhibition provided an excellent opportunity to dispel some of the confusion which inevitably exists at the moment in relation to the new ErP Directive. The construction industry has long been aware of the increased importance of energy efficiency in the way buildings are designed and constructed but the introduction of the directive has brought a real focus on how ventilation products and systems can, and indeed now must, contribute in this respect. Specifiers need to understand what the obligations are under the new legislation, which products are compliant and, importantly, which are not."
The Elta Group is an £90 million family of businesses with operations in seven countries on four continents which, together with a network of international distributors, provides quality fans and related air movement equipment to customers worldwide.
