Welcome to EcoHomeInstaller. Our team has spent many years in the renewables industry, over 15 years in total. We do design and build for biomass, solar thermal, solar PV and high efficiency heating systems
We have worked on a diverse range of projects, many of which combined two or more different renewable energy technologies.
Modern biomass boilers are very efficient and economical. Most domestic systems are pellet based, but log boilers may be a good choice if you have access to fire wood. Pellets have a high energy density and are easy to deliver and store. They are great for fully automated heating systems. Pellets are delivered by tanker, which will blow the pellets directly to your stove.
Solar photovoltaics (PV) capture the sun’s energy using photovoltaic cells. These cells don’t need direct sunlight to work – they can still generate some electricity on a cloudy day. The cells convert the sunlight into electricity, which can be used to run household appliances and lighting. Cut your electricity bills: sunlight is free, so once you’ve paid for the initial installation your electricity costs will be reduced.
Get paid for the electricity you generate: the government’s Feed-In Tariffs pay you for the electricity you generate, even if you use it.
Solar water heating systems use free heat from the sun to warm domestic hot water. A conventional boiler or immersion heater is then used to make the water hotter, or to provide hot water when solar energy is unavailable.
