Understanding the demand and dynamics for PV in Chile
The anticipated financing options for PV in Chile will be placed under the spotlight during PV Insider’s eagerly anticipated free webinar on Tuesday 14th May at 3.00pm BST (10:00am Chile).
Whilst the PV opportunity in Chile is huge a recent PV Insider poll found that finance for projects and grid connection issues are the biggest barriers to PV growth in the country, and therefore require the most discussion. Concerns over obtaining financing with manageable interest rates as well as problems connecting to the northern grids are hampering many projects. What’s more There currently seems to be a lack of in-depth information and commentary on the standards, permits, and technical issues that hamper project development and greatly increase costs.
To debate these critical challenges in greater depth, PV Insider has organized a free webinar, taking place on Tuesday 14th May at 15.00 BST (10.00am Chile). During this one hour interactive session, Hervé Collin, Chile country manager at Astris Finance, and PV specialist Paul Brucke at Black and Veatch will be discussing PV financing, specifically the different deal structures and plans available including consortium financing and ownership deals; project development: an in-depth examination of some of the grid permitting process and current challenges in northern and central grids; and profitable projects: expert tips on plant design and proposals to increase the possibility of PPAs at favourable terms and concomitant financing.
