Idener: Talking controls for the maturing CSP industry

As the attention of the CSP industry turns towards understanding how to optimise the output of new and existing plants, system controls have become a vital cog in the process. Idener, a spin-off from the University of Seville’s technological base, are developing these controls, and have just been announced as a sponsor of the CSP Yield Optimisation Europe conference, taking place 31st May – 1st June in Seville. The event is to be chaired by University of Seville’s CSP expert Manuel A. Silva Pérez.

At the conference, Idener will discuss advance control techniques for yield optimisation, addressing the CSP performance improvements that can be achieved when applying advance control techniques such as model predictive control, in which they are specialised.

Advanced control techniques use plant models in order to track desired operating set points, such as optimum operating temperatures. Idener will explain how advanced control techniques (such as model predictive controls) help to reach such objectives. This links to other parts of the CSP plant process, such as modelling, tracking, forecasting, and operating temperatures.

Idener specialise in advanced system control, developing and marketing optimisation solutions that are based on predictive control methodologies. They offer R&D and innovation, engineering and consulting services geared towards the development of emerging technologies and enhancement of technologically advanced systems, from conception to implementation as successful, marketable applications.

As the CSP industry reaches maturity, it has become increasingly important to overcome the technical challenges and maximise plant output. The CSP Yield Optimisation Europe conference offers delegates the opportunity to discuss these issues directly with some of the most respected experts in the industry. The last few seats at the conference are still available – reserve a place now and avoid missing out on the experience and knowledge the summit will offer.

Registrations can be made by contacting Matt Carr by sending him a message.
