You can get involved during Climate Week in any way you want – perhaps doing something that's relevant to you or your group or organisation, and the type of work you do. It's a chance for you to shine in front of the people that matter to you.

Here are some simple event ideas to get you started. We’ve grouped them for simplicity but, of course, feel free to mix and match:

• Organise a conference
• Run a seminar or workshop
• Hold a debate
• Make a press announcement
• Arrange a press trip for journalists, or VIPs
• Do a PR stunt
• Publish new research
• Launch a product
• Showcase a project
• Hold an open day
• Run a competition
• Call for ideas
• Have a low-carbon lunch
• Run a climate-themed film night
• Enter the Climate Week Awards
• Take part in the Climate Week Challenge competition

• Run a low-carbon coffee morning
• Hold a meeting about reducing local energy consumption
• Fundraise for a relevant environmental project
• Enter a local project for the Climate Week Awards
• Take part in the Climate Week Challenge competition

• Take part in the Climate Week Challenge
• Run classroom activities and lessons about climate change
• Create art, poems, plays, stories, design ideas and technology proposals which are responses to climate change – and exhibit them during Climate Week
