Canadian geothermal reporting code workshop
Start Date:13 Sep 11
The Canadian Geothermal Code for Public Reporting has revolutionized the practice of disclosure in the geothermal industry. Reporting language has changed as a result of the code, moving away from confusing, ambiguous terminology to transparent, consistent and confident terms. The code has made significant strides since its launch in January 2010 as it continually aims to improve investor confidence in the geothermal energy industry.
The Canadian Geothermal Code Committee will be hosting a half-day code workshop in conjunction with CanGEA's 4th Annual Conference and Investment Forum to detail the "ins and outs" of the code, including:
• Code history – The formation of the code and efforts with other international committees, including Australia;
• Code overview and key points – A complete overview of the code including a review of the code framework and key terms, as well as the impact of the code
on the industry;
• The code and NI 43-101 & 51-101 – An overview on the differences, and similarities, between the Canadian Mining and Oil & Gas Codes; and
• Geothermal developer experience – A CanGEA member developer will speak about their experiences with the code.
This event will take place in Toronto, Canada.
