Solar electricity generation



Solar Panels and Wind Turbines
(photovoltaic) panels generate electricity to power appliance and lighting. With the government-backed you can be paid for every unit of electricity you generate at up to 41.3p/kWh when you install an approved renewable electricity system, such as solar PV panels or a wind turbine.

You are free to use the electricity you generate in the home, so reducing the amount you need to buy from your provider. Any electricity you generate which you do not need can be exported back to the National Grid for a further payment of approx 3p/kWh. You will only qualify for the Feed-in Tariff if an approved product is installed by a government approved installer, such as .
