We are a leading provider of green energy in the UK and are providing O&M (operations and maintenance) services to an ever growing number of large-scale solar farms. We are looking for skillful and enthusiastic General Maintenance Operatives to help us maintain these sites in excellent condition.

The role will require the individual to drive and to stay away from home as and when required as our project sites are spread all across the south of the country. All accommodation and expenses will be covered by the Company. There may be a requirement to work on weekends to meet tight deadlines; if so you will be informed in advance. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

Key responsibilities will include:

Visual inspection of non-electrical components and structures within a solar farm
Maintenance of structural parts of CV arrays, fencing, buildings, roads and any other structure within the solar farm
Reporting on progress of inspections and maintenance work in a regular and structured manner
Landscaping work
Handling of goods delivered to or departing from the solar farms
Meeting visitors and providing access to sites
Ensuring all work undertaken is safe and that it complies with current health and safety regulations
Ensuring works are completed to a high standard in a timely and cost effective manner
Meeting weekly targets
A hands-on approach to undertaking any tasks to assist with the installation and maintenance of solar PV systems
A clean, valid driving license is required

You must have previous experience of construction or maintenance related work and working knowledge of H&S requirements on large commercial sites. Licenses for plant and machinery including 360, telehandler or IPAF would be highly desirable. You must be physically fit and able bodied due to the nature of the work involved.

We offer a competitive salary package. Basic salary is based on skills and experience. There are 25 days holiday, a contributory pension plan, health plan and childcare vouchers.

If you are interested in applying or require further information, we would love to hear from you. Please send your up-to-date CV or any queries by email to hr@belectric.co.uk.
