What's on offer?
A six month placement as a marketing assistant will give you unique, hands-on marketing experience in a new and exciting industry. You will be assisting our marketing team in all aspects of marketing from direct marketing and e-marketing to event organisation and management. No one day working for ADBA will be the same. Under the guidance and support of our head of sales and marketing you will be instrumental in helping to develop the organisation and drive it forwards.

Key responsibilities
ADBA organises a number of networking key events across the year. These range from members’ meetings and networking luncheons to high profile conferences and a trade show. Your role will include creating communication materials and event brochures, managing content on our website, dealing with suppliers, membership and delegate recruitment, building partnerships and event management.

You will also be involved in the following:
• Event marketing and management – creating marketing materials and organising events for the association
• Copywriting for direct mail and email shots
• Website content management
• Database management
• Market research
• Designing and creating marketing materials
• Providing member services
• Developing and implementing marketing campaigns to recruit members
• PR – drafting press releases and liaising directly with the press

Who are we looking for?
We are currently looking for a highly motivated and proactive graduate who is interested in a career in marketing and renewable energy. You need to be a high achiever with strong communication skills who has the ability and confidence to work under pressure. Excellent organisational skills are essential for this role. Ideal candidates will also have a passion for the environment.

Experience required
As this is a graduate job work experience is not essential; we are simply looking for candidates who can demonstrate they are all of the above. However you must have a 2:1 degree or higher, ideally in marketing, geography or environmental sciences. An ability to speak German would also be desirable but is not essential.
