Our client is a leading sustainability consultancy combining energy, climate change, environmental and chemical risk expertise with strong IT and economics capability.

They are seeking a Business Resource Efficiency specialist, with a strong knowledge of energy, to join the advice and support service team for a large contract within the Resource Efficiency and Waste Management practice. Fully responsible for managing all aspects of support provision of direct technical support to clients, from initial receipt of enquiry, through delivery of technical support, through to drafting of finalised reports. The Advisor will support businesses and organisations by:

Working closely with a team of advisors located across Scotland to support the delivery of on-site resource efficiency support to businesses;
Develop, scope, deliver and follow up on projects, managing client relationships throughout;
Provide technical advice and mentoring on projects delivering front-line business advice;
Quality assure programme materials, outputs and reports related to energy efficiency;
Present on energy efficiency and other resource efficiency topics at training seminars;
Provide initial telephone support on Waste, Water, Energy and Raw Materials Efficiency,
Liaising with specialist sub-contractors and building relationships internally and externally.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the following skills:

Demonstrable knowledge of material and water efficiency opportunities within businesses;
Demonstrable knowledge, skills and experience of:

Energy efficiency in buildings
Water heating
Energy management systems
Process energy use
Energy saving through behavior change

Networking and building strategic partnerships with businesses, business support, public sector and voluntary sector organisations;
Able to recruit, develop and deliver business improvement projects in the areas of resource efficiency;
Project management and project delivery, including management of specialist sub-contractors;
Team working and coordinating activities to ensure delivery of agreed targets;
Able to interpret complex issues and data, and identify solutions quickly;
Accurate and appropriate selection, presentation and promotion of information;

Key competencies and experience:

Proven business auditing experience and report writing;
Good communication skills, both written and verbal;
A good knowledge of business resource efficiency (waste, water, energy) and the confidence to discuss the opportunities available to businesses and the ability to translate this into technical support;
The ability to work as part of a team and autonomously;
Competent with the full MS Office package is essential: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Internet,
Flexible approach to working activities
